I am a fourth-generation Montanan, born and raised in the Bitterroot Valley. I grew up in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School with the Class of 1972. This valley, with its mountains, seasons, and tight-knit community, has shaped nearly every chapter of my life.

After high school, I worked in a variety of roles in a banking career, and then my life took an unexpected turn: I supported my high school sweetheart through his years at the United States Air Force Academy. We married, and for the next twenty years I served as a military wife, raising our three sons while we traveled and lived across the country. Along the way, I built an expanded career of my own, taking on supervisory responsibilities alongside both military and civilian colleagues — an experience that taught me leadership, adaptability, and how to build community wherever I landed.

When that chapter of military life came to a close, I brought my family home to the Bitterroot Valley and put down roots again in Hamilton, building a career in real estate. In 2007, I ran for public office and was elected Ravalli County Commissioner for District Four — a role that taught me the true meaning of representation: showing up fully for people beyond yourself, and completing every task asked of you. During my time in office, I served on numerous boards, including the Parks Board, regional transportation, the Board of Sanitarians, the Fair Board, the Airport Board, and the Montana State Board of Disabilities, among others.

Today, I have been a real estate professional for more than 36 years, still guided by the same values that carried me through banking, military life, and public service: showing up, following through, and genuinely caring about the people I work with. I consider myself a lifelong learner with more life experience than I could ever fully share — and I would love to hear your story, too.
